NFHS Memo on the Swim Suit Rule Changes (98kb)
An annoucement was made yesterday (8/11/09) by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) stating that they would adopt a similar swim suit policy to other governing bodies such as the NCAA, USA Swimming and FINA. The specific rule changes are indicated in the PDF above.
The vast majority of swim coaches view this as a big step in the right direction. Hopefully now we can stop talking about the suits and instead about the athletes wearing them.
